I was excited about the Santorini Blue Sticker Book because the theme and artwork are beautiful, but I was very disappointed by the complete lack of diversity. Every woman depicted in the book was white.
Black women travel to Santorini too. We vacation, explore the world, take beautiful photos, and deserve to see ourselves represented in travel-themed products like this. A book inspired by such a popular international destination should reflect a wider range of women and skin tones.
I hope future editions include Black women and other women of color. Representation matters, especially in products that are supposed to celebrate travel, beauty, and adventure.
